Welcome to the planes of Planesmarches!

The fate of dreams is a temporary one; formed from shapeless dreamstuff by the will of a dreamer to populate their dreams and then abandoned when the dreamer awakens. Many are consumed by the denizens that call the Plane of Dreams their home, most ultimately dissolve back into formless dreamstuff to be shaped again by the next dreamer. Such was to be your fate, your form created in a dream abandoned by a dreamer now awake. You accepted this as inevitable, regardless of your own desires.

But then a voice caught your attention, a soft mewling voice asking a simple question and offering a choice – do you wish to exist on your own? I am in need of agents to perform tasks far and wide across the multiverse. I can make you real for so long as it is needed and am willing to make it permanent. But such a task is not simple and will require greater effort and time. Will you accept my offer?

You considered your options; oblivion and rebirth or an agreement with this creature for a chance at more. You made your decision and now stand upon an island in a misty sea of dreams. Before you lies a small settlement and whatever new life you can make of it.
