Some axani have a metallic tint to their skin or hair, but this is rare. Like elves, Axani have no facial or body hair. As their lineage indicates, most are lawful neutral, with lawful good and lawful evil as roughly equal minorities. Neutral axani are extremely rare, and chaotic axani are almost unheard of. Axani are drawn to the ordered, principled life of the monk, but any profession with a structured environment, such as soldiering, suits them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AXANI RACIAL TRAITS<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>+2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom: Axani are logical and calculating, but tend to be cold and emotionless.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planetouched: Planetouched are humanoids (not outsiders) with the planetouched subtype. They are susceptible to spells and effects that specifically target both humanoids or outsiders. Charm person works against them, and so does banishment. This trait replaces the outsider entry in each planetouched description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medium-size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Axani base speed is 30 feet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Darkvision up to 60 feet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cold and sonic resistance 5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calm Emotions (Sp): Axani can cast the calm emotions spell once per day as a cleric of their character level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>+2 racial bonus to Diplomacy and Spot checks: Axani are good at arguing their points logically, and they are perceptive to disturbances in their environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Any (except secret languages, like Druidic).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Favored Class: Monk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Level Adjustment: +0. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Axani are not by default Human-Based. They can be thematically Elven, Dwarf, etc, etc.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dwarven<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Language: Dwarven instead of Home region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stonecunning: This ability grants a dwarf a +2 racial bonus on&nbsp;Search&nbsp;checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like. Something that isn&#8217;t stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. A dwarf who merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework can make a Search check as if he were actively searching, and a dwarf can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can. A dwarf can also intuit depth, sensing his approximate depth underground as naturally as a human can sense which way is up.
